Le Hamac

The family seaside resort Cavalaire –sur-Mer is situated on the Mediterranean Sea with a view of the peninsula Cap Lardier. It has a four kilometres long sandy beach and a marina with 1000 berths. The surrounding countryside consists of forested hills, which form part of the unspoilt nature reserve Massif des Maures. The distance to St Tropez is 18 kilometers.

Cavalaire has 6000 inhabitants and is reasonably quiet, especially when compared to St Tropez. And yet the ‘jetski capital of the world’ is fashionable enough to house a casino and two discotheques. Next to that there is a pleasant town centre with shops, a post office, banks, cafés, restaurants, pavement cafés, two jeu-de-boules plazas and a cinema. During the high season (July and August) it is rather crowded in Cavalaire, it is quieter during the rest of the year.
